There are children in our own neighborhoods who are moving through foster care, settling into kinship placements, or living with the stress of housing instability and financial hardship. They go to school here. They ride bikes on the same streets our trucks drive down every day. And here in Sacramento, xHope exists to serve those children and the families caring for them.
That work is the reason we are proud to be a Silver sponsor of the xHope Denim and Diamonds fundraiser on October 17, 2026, at 2300 Sierra Boulevard in Sacramento.
Why this organization
Plenty of good causes come across our desk. What drew us to xHope is how close the work is to home. This is not a distant effort with a Sacramento mailing address. The children and families xHope serves live in the same communities where our team works, shops, and raises families.
We first learned about the organization through friends and clients who serve it. That matters to us. When people you know and respect give their time to something, you pay attention to it. The more we learned, the more it made sense for our company to stand behind it.
“One of my favorite parts of being a business owner is the ability to give back. I think showing up for local organizations we believe in is important,” said Melonie San Filippo.
Showing up is the right way to put it. Sponsorship is one form of support, and it is a real one. Fundraising events like Denim and Diamonds are how organizations like xHope fund the services that families count on through the rest of the year. Being a Silver sponsor means our company is helping make that possible.
The impact is local, and it is real
We keep coming back to that point because it is the part that moves us. The dollars raised at Denim and Diamonds go to work for children and families right here. Foster care. Kinship placements, where a relative steps in to raise a child. Housing instability. Financial hardship. These are not abstractions in Sacramento County. They are situations real families are navigating right now, sometimes on the same block as one of our customers.
When a local business supports a local organization serving local children, there is a short, clear line between the contribution and the outcome. We love being able to be part of that.
A company that grew up here
We have been a family owned and operated business in Sacramento since 1953. Three generations of Sacramento families have called us for garage doors, openers, service, and repairs. Our showroom has sat at 6756 Franklin Boulevard, and our trucks run out to Elk Grove, Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, Lincoln, Davis, and Fairfield.
Seventy plus years in one region gives you a particular view of a place. You watch neighborhoods change. You meet the families who moved into the house you worked on twenty years ago. You come to understand that a company is not separate from the community it sells to. It is part of it, for better or worse, and it has a say in which one.
That is the thinking behind our support for xHope. We are a garage door company. We are not a social services agency and we will not pretend otherwise. But we can put our name and our resources behind people who do that work well, and we can encourage our customers and neighbors to do the same.
